Whissender - Salix triandra

£7.50

One of the first of our willows to show its catkins in very early Spring - so essential for our bees and other early pollinators. The cute, fluffy catkins are great additions to Valentines Day and Mothering Sunday bouquets and they dry well too for use all year round. Whissender is also a really useful willow for garden structures, fences, coffins and larger baskets. Stems are a pretty green colour, mottled with browny pink when fresh and they dry to a pale brown colour. Here, on our clay soil, it typically grows between 3ft and 8ft each year.

Supplied as a bundle of 10 x freshly cut setts/ cuttings, complete with care and planting instructions.

Each cutting will be approximately 30cm - 35cm long. Every bundle comes with its very own plant passport authorised by DEFRA’s Animal and Plant Health Agency.

Please note, that we are currently only able to send living willow cuttings to addresses in the UK.

If you would like much larger quantities or cuttings of longer lengths, please get in touch directly before placing your order by emailing clare@warwickshirewillow.com
